I have been trying to formulate words to describe The Akron Family, yet another Brooklyn band. They are a cross breed of folk and experimental rock - I don't know if I would see them opening for Band of Horses or Animal Collective. The only two songs that I haven't grasped onto are Gravelly Mountains of the Moon & MBF, as I am not into noise rock - but I can guarantee that the rest of the album is soulful and inspirational. As soon as the album ends, I have to press repeat to go back through again for another experience.
