I have been sitting on this album since January and I have been holding back - and for that I appologize. Cymbals Eat Guitars are yet another band from Brooklyn....but they are following their own path. Unlike so many of the bands I tend to side with that are influenced by 60's bands - Cymbals remind me of the time I first heard Modest Mouse in the 90's.
It's raw, noisy, experimental, and then it hits - a big explosive anthemic build. The album delivers a range of peaks and valleys of energy.
