I have had The Uglysuit in my list of music to get, for some time. This weekend on a shopping trip to Amoeba I finally found it and I am so glad I did. You ever get a album that ust plays so nicely you forget you are listening to it? It just feels so natural to be in the background - not just ambient texture, but a whole lot of good energy filling a room.
The Oklahoma band's album, is filled with uplifting space rock. Soothing, yet happy and so refreshing. Somewhere in between The Flaming Lips, Band of Horses and Jason Schwartzman's Coconut Records...errr?? Yeah - I guess I would have to stick to that. Check out "And We Became Sunshine".
