Vampire Weekend has a new album coming out. YAY. I got to listen to some of the forthcoming tracks and preview what's to come...and you won't be disappointed. I hope you won't at least. More fun poppy, energetic songs to bop around to.
To kick start the tour to promote their new album Contra, Vampire Weekend played two free shows this weekend. One on Halloween for 30 people, and one today at a Park in Boyle Heights. Lucky me that I have friends who keep up to date with the Vampire Weekend, or else we would have missed their announcement of the show posted a day prior.

On the most beautiful day, sitting on the green lawn, the band performed 4 tracks from their upcoming album, (Cousins, Holiday, Horchata, California English) along with their entire first album. It was epic.
