The XX. They are sexy. They are dark. With simplistic instrumentation - and while this might sound weird.....the guitar at times is so simple it's like combining a track from Chris Isaac with the new wave darkness and sometimes electronic sound of Interpol, but with the vocals of Massive Attack, Lykki Li and My Bloody Valentine. Complicated, right?
Don't expect to put the album on and start dancing. This is a sick album. One that at first listen will have you wondering who they are and where they came from.
