The Cotton Jones sound like a sunny Topanga Canyon day. Whistling, breezy pop tunes, and moody harmonies recorded in that beautiful chamber sound, Michael Nau and Whitney McGraw make a lovely pair. Evoking the sound of M.Ward and Mazzy Star, with a bit of country folk twang at times, the duo also perform in the band Page France together.
If only I had listened to my friend Jason 6 months ago when he told me about Cotton Jones, I could have been enjoying them for that much longer...but it's summer now - so I think right now is as good of time as any!
