For my birthday my friends took me on a surprise expedition. All I knew was they had tickets, told me to wear comfortable clothing, to bring ear plugs, that I might possibly get nauscious and to be there at a certain time. I mentally went through various scenarios of what sort of show I was being take to (in NYC). When we arrived we were given the choice to check out bag....and I thought myself - self, I have no idea what we are about to experience...check bag.
As we entered the dark theatre there were no seats - just a black space with a circle that the staff directed us to, while techno type music played.
I don't want to tell too much because the experience was so much better not knowing what was to come. But - a few minutes in, I knew it was special. A Cirque Du Soleil type show in a artful way. Fuerza Bruta. A show from Argentina whih embodies creativity and experimentation.
You may have seen some of the elements of the show on this season's America's Next Top Model where the models were photographed doing some of the acrobatic work.
All I can say is - if you are in New York City any time soon....it is a must. A great show to experience with a group.
