It's Memorial Weekend...which usually means pool parties and lots of sun but someone upstairs is playing tricks on us. It's gloomy and I haven't been opening my blinds til 1PM to see the weather. Why bother? it will just make me sleepy and I am somehow more productive with interior lights.

Last week I felt folky and this week some of my favorite bands (the French Kicks, Sloan and Fobert Forster from The Go-Betweens) have put out new albums that I strayed from putting "new" bands up.....with the exception of The Weather Underground. When I watched them they were electric. I kept thinking Bono meets Dylan....and someone else. But who is? it wasn't until I posted and published the sight it clicked! Duh. They sound like The Walkmen! But...they do have their own sound. I felt the passion from the band that they want it. They were sweating and shimmying on stage and they gave the audience a fantastic show.
